Tony the CD400 doesn't have any connections on the back at all. The only connection for the radio will be the 3.5mm Aux Input which is located under the arm rest, providing you are talking about the insignia.
So if you want the music to play via your speakers, you will need an rca to 3.5mm jack converter.
Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/rca-to-3-5mm-male-Audio-Converter-Connector-Plug-3-5-MM_W0QQitemZ250601572639QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Scanners?hash=item3a5904891f

Cheers,
Joe

Not sure if anyone can help with the following.. I have just got a new Carcomm cradle for my Iphone, but it comes with a RCA connector (red-white-yellow cable adaptor). Does anyone know if the CD400 has RCA connection on the back?

Many thanks..

Cathal,

Looks like you don't have the extra bluetooth kit in your car. So only way you will get the bluetooth function is by changing your radio or buying an after market kit(like a parrot mki 9100). Only time I've seen the steering wheel controls work on an Insignia with out the Vauxhall bluetooth kit, is on the touch screen radio I used to replace my original vauxhall unit. You can see it in the other post on this site.

Hi Joe,

Did you ever get your handsfree kit sorted? I have been asking places to do this for me
in Northern Ireland this past 3 months and keep getting different answers. Basically what
i want is a handsfree kit worked by bluetooth that allows me to use the functions currently
on my steering wheel of my vauxhall insignia. Some people say the bluetooth might just
be turned off but this seems to simple. Once i go to phone settings through the centre console
it says not available. Can what i want be done?

Dean, At the minute I'm not aware of anyway to connect to the steering wheel controls. So you can't answer the phone using the control on the steering wheel. But I'm sure when the Insignia gets more popular you will see cables becoming available for it.

A bit late, as my parrot kit is arriving next Monday, but:

Is there a way to connect up the phone answering buttons to the Parrot kit so I can take advantage of the sterring controls?

Hi Chris,

Sorry for the slow reply mate.
I got my cable for the Insignia.
From Car audio security.
Link:
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10095.html

I’m not sure if there is a difference been standard and DV-800.
Best thing for you to do would be take the console out and disconnect the cable plugged in to the radio and take a picture and send me it.

Hope this helps.

He Joe,

Did you manage to find the cable?
It seems he is available at www.kram.dk (part 86173) but I can't find any dealer who can deliver it.
Is there a differant between an Isignia with the standard radio and the Insignia with DV800 GPS system?
I like to buy a parrot for my Insignia (with DV-800 Navigation) but not sure the Kram-cable will do it.
